Who is Brianna Ford?
Brianna Ford was a true pioneer in the HBCU Green Movement, who inspired and empowered her fellow students, faculty and staff to advance sustainability on and off campus to empower low-income communities of color. On December 27th, 2012, Brianna Ford ascended to heaven at the age of 21 in a tragic car accident and became the angel of our movement.
Brianna Ford Fellowship Program (BFFP)
The Brianna Ford Fellowship Program is a two-year student leadership development program that focuses on social, environmental, and economic literacy, creative problem solving, and social impact careers. The goal of the program is to train students to develop creative and enterprise-based solutions for social, environmental, and economic issues that disproportionately affect African Americans and low-income communities, and then to allow these students to put their training in practice via summer job placements with organizations in the social sector.
